Use optional email sign-in

You can use the shelf without an email account

Local clips, notes and file copies do not require ExplorePaste email sign-in. Private iCloud uses your Apple account instead. The optional email account holds your verified email and any profile name or photo you choose to add.

Sign in through the native app

1. Open Account on Mac, or Settings and Account on iPhone or iPad.
2. Enter your email address and choose Send Code.
3. Enter the six-digit code from the email and choose Sign In. If a code expires, use Resend Code when the control becomes available.

Manage your profile and session

You may add a name and a profile photo, then choose Save Profile. Sign Out ends the app session without removing your local shelf. Remove Session From This Device removes the stored session on this device. Neither action is account deletion.

If sign-in does not work

Check the email address and your connection. Wait for the resend control before requesting another code. Local saving remains separate from account access. For permanent account deletion, follow the account-deletion guide.
